Three years after the release of their first album, "This One At Last," Rabbi David Meyer and Jon Nelson are back with another recording of their original Jewish music. Entitled "Road Without Shoulders," the latest installment showcases the vibrant melodies, sophisticated scoring and beautiful harmonies that have come to define this musical duo. The album features a wide array of arrangements within and beyond the genre, ranging from the country-style twang of the title track to the haunting and contemplative setting of "Psalm 93: Majestic on High."

While singing and leading prayer together for nearly a decade at Temple Emanu-El in Marblehead, Massachusetts, Meyer and Nelson have forged an organic spirit and innovative musical sound. Their original compositions and liturgical settings have been lauded as "a bright light in the contemporary Jewish genre," with tight harmonies and a warm, inviting delivery "reminiscent of Simon & Garfunkel." Featured once again on this record is keyboardist, composer, and producer Michael Gill, as well as preeminent percussionist John Dorizzi with guitar and pedal steel virtuoso Joe Clapp of Ultrasound Productions.

Each CD is packaged in a (relatively) environment-friendly cardboard case with a minimum of plastic.
